Kerala Police Night Curfew Self declaration:- The Kerala Government announced a night curfew in view of the surge in Omicron cases in Kerala. The night curfew will come into effect from December 30, Thursday to January 2. The curfew will be imposed from 10 pm to 5 am.
As per the Department of Disaster Management Night Curfew rule, there are no public gatherings, including religious, political, community, cultural and social gatherings, including in churches and other public places, which would be allowed from 10 pm to 5 am.
All the shops must close by 10 pm. The aim of the curbs is to limit crowding in connection with the New Year’s eve celebrations. New Year’s celebrations are not allowed after 10 pm. Restrictions will be in place at shopping malls, Beaches and public parks.
Unnecessary travel will not be allowed. Vehicle inspection will be strengthened by the Kerala police. Those who are going out for urgent requirements or hospital cases after 10 pm must carry a self-declaration or a Sathyavangmoolam on their purpose for venturing out.
