Eligibility Criteria for Eastern Railway Recruitment for Act Apprentice
Candidates should have the below-given eligibilities to apply for the Eastern Railway Recruitment 2020.
Age Limit:-
Candidates age should be between 15 to 24 years as on cutoff date for receiving application. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC-NCL candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates.
Education:-
Candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board/ University and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT. However, for the below-given Trades, the minimum educational qualification is 8th class pass from recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT:
1. Welder (Gas and Electric)
2. Sheet Metal Worker
3. Lineman
4. Wireman
5. Carpenter
6. Painter (General)
Selection Process:-
The selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all eligible candidates who apply against the notification. The selection for the trades with the minimum qualification, class 10th pass, a separate merit list will
be drawn for candidates eligible taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculations (with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. For the trades for which class 8th pass is the minimum qualification, the merit list would be prepared for all eligible candidates, including those having qualification of matriculation and who opt for these trades, based on the average marks obtained both in class 8th standard and ITI examination.
Application Fee:-
All candidates have to pay an application fee INR 100/- to apply for these posts. SC/ ST/ PWBD/ Women candidates no need to pay any application fee. Pay the fee online through ‘Payment Gateway’ (Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking etc.) while filling up the online Application Form.
