Many of you might be surprised, but all plants and trees are not meant to be in our living/ work spaces. As we know plants have the direct relation with human life, as whatever is emitted by the plants in the form of gas is inhaled by humans. While several plants add positivity to the environment, there are some trees and plants which emit harmful gases and negative vibes and thus are not safe for us.

Here is a list of plants and trees which according to Vastu Shastra brings luck and growth in our lives:

Basil plant or Tulsi should be placed in every household. Not only is it auspicious, but it also has several medicinal values. Vastu Shastra recommends that you place this plant in the north, east or north-east direction.

Plants with sweet smelling flowers like jasmine, rose, red lotus etc release a pleasant fragrance in the surroundings, thus having them in your house compound is recommended.

As per Vastu Shastra, flower pots should not be placed in the north, east and north-east direction of the building. This is because it blocks light and air.

Do not plant trees in the extreme front area or the central area of the house or office, as it obstructs the entrance.

Milk bearing plants and trees like Vata,People, Mahua etc. and thorn-bearing plants (except rose) should not be planted in your house compound.

In case if you are interested in planting huge trees, then see to it that its position does not hinder sunlight. South and west zones is usually recommended for huge trees.

Most of all see to it that you clean away the dry leaves and the dead flowers on a regular basis. Also do not keep dried flowers at home, as they attract negative vibes.
