Southern Railway Recruitment 2017 : Southern railway has issued a recruitment notification for the 146 posts of Act/Trade Apprentices in the following trades namely Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder, Mechanic Diesel, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Carpenter and Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology and Pathology).Southern railway inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for these posts before the last date 25/01/2017.

Educational Qualification:

Fitter, Machinist & Turner : The candidates should have passed 10th Class Examination under 10 +2 system of education or its equivalent and also possess National Trade certificate in the notified trade.

Carpenter & Welder: The candidates should have passed class VIII and also possess National Trade certificate in the notified trade.

Electrician /Electronics Mechanic: The candidates should pass class 10th examination under 10 +2 system of education with science as one of the Subjects, or its equivalent and should also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade.

Mechanic Diesel Maintenance: Candidates should possess class 10th examination or its equivalent and also possess National Trade certificate in the notified trade

Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology): The candidates should pass class 12th examination under 10 +2 system of education with physics, chemistry and Biology.

For Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology): The candidates should pass class 12th examination under 10 +2 system of education with physics, chemistry and Biology.

Age Limit: The candidates age limit should be between 15 to 24 years as on 26.01.2017. Age relaxation for OBC candidates is 3 years, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for Persons with Disabilitiy (PWD) candidates.
