Posting Location:- The posting shall be at CSL Kolkata Ship Repair Unit (CKSRU)/ any other CSL units/ project sites as desired by CSL. All candidates should have good communication skills and ability to communicate in Hindi / Bengali /English is desirable.
Application fee:- Applicants have to pay INR 200/- using the online payment options Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking. Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD are exempted from payment of application fee.

Educational Qualification:-
- Junior Commercial Assistant – Candidates should have a 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice/
Computer Engineering / Information Technology with 60% marks from a State Board of
Technical Education or equivalent qualifications in the case of Ex-servicemen. Should have 4 years of experience in matters relating to Office work, Updating ERP System, Man hour Booking, Record and Report Generation, maintenance of files, Data entry, registers and records in a Shipyard/ Heavy Engineering Company/ SemiGovernment Company/ Government / Establishment and must be Computer savvy. - Junior Technical Assistant – 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education securing a minimum of 60% of marks or equivalent in the case of Ex-servicemen. Should have 4 year experience in Fabrication, Manufacturing, Engineering, Estimation & Invoice Preparation, Updating ERP System, Stores, Material Procurement & Accounting, Data entry, Record and Report Generation in a Ship Building / Heavy Engineering Company / Government / Ship Repair Company / Marine related Engineering Company / Semi-Government Company / Establishment and must be Computer savvy.
- Storekeeper – A Graduation with Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications in the case of Ex-servicemen. Should have 4-year experience in storekeeping in a Shipyard/ Government/ Semi-Government Company / Establishment/ Heavy Engineering Company. Preference will be given to those having exposure in ERP packages/ materials management.
Age limit:-
Age shall not exceed 35 years as on 30th December 2019. The upper age is relaxable by 10 PwBD candidates. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per Government of India guidelines. 5 years of age relaxation applicable for candidates who have been domicile of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2019 Syllabus
The selection process shall include 2 phases. Phase I, consisting of an Objective Type Online Test of 70 marks and Phase II consisting of Descriptive type Written Test of 30 marks. Based on the marks secured by candidates in the Phase -I Objective type Online test, a discipline wise merit list shall be prepared. Merit listed candidates can attend certificate verification process. Successfully certificate verification completed candidates shall be allowed to attend the Phase-II. A final merit list shall be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in both Phase I and Phase II tests put together.
Syllabus for Phase I Objective Type Online Test
Objective type Online test shall consist of two parts General (Part A) and Discipline related (Part B). Part A questions shall be asked from the topics of General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Part B syllabus is different respect to the posts.
