CLAT Application Form 2019 – Exam date,Eligibility and How to apply

CLAT Application Form 2019 :- National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) Kochi, Across India, invited online applications from eligible candidates for the CLAT 2019(Common Low Admission Test ) from 10 Jan 2019 to 31 Mar 2019.   • Under-graduate Programme [Five Year Integrated Law Degree]
  • Post-graduate Programme (One Year LL.M. Degree)

CLAT 2019 Eligibility

UG Programme

Educational Qualification:- A Pass in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of (i) Forty Five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and (ii) Forty percent (40%) of marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April, 2019, are also eligible to apply.

Age limit :- There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT 2019.

Note –

  1. As regards minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination), the candidates must have secured:
    1. Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCIcategories
    2. Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
  2. Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April, 2019 are also eligible to appear in CLAT-2019 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
  3. The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
  4. In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:
    1. Higher marks in the component /section on legal aptitude in the CLAT-2019 exam;
    2. Higher age;
    3. Computerised draw of lots.

PG Programme

Educational Qualification:- An LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty Five percent (55%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Fifty percent (50%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May, 2019, are also eligible to apply.

Age limit :- No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT-2019.

How to Apply for CLAT 2019

Eligible candidates may apply online at NUALS Kochi’s website (direct link is given below) from 10 Jan 2019 to 31 Mar 2019.

Steps To Apply Online:

  1. Before applying to Online Applicants have valid email & Scanned copies of photo, signature.
  2. Candidates log on to https://clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in/.
  3. Click on “Click here for New Registration”, if you are a new user.
  4. Complete the Registration & Click on “Submit”.
  5. After Registration, Log in with Registered Number & Password.
  6. Fill the all details in the application & upload Photo, Signature.
  7. Take a print out of Online application for future use.

Important dates:-

  • Starting Date to Apply Online – 10 /01/2019
  • Closing Date to Apply Online – 31/03/2019
  • Date of CLAT 2019 Test (OFFLINE MODE) – 12 May 2019 (3.00 – 5.00 P.M)
